James Thomas Thompson, age 63, passed away May 26, 2021 in Sylvania, Ohio. Born April 19, 1958 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Eugene and Catherine Thompson. Jim graduated from Penn Cambria. He went on to do many things, then finally landed his dream job of being in the labor union. The last hall he worked for was union hall 910. After high school he married Joyce A. Kunsman. They again re-married in a Catholic church nearly 3 years later. They had four children, James E. Thompson, Adam L. Thompson, Kristen L. Thompson, and Brandon J. Thompson. Jim loved to work on older cars when he was younger. He also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling- he would even go pick up his kids from school on the snowmobile during winter months. He enjoyed playing the old 8-bit Nintendo with his kids and wife on the weekends. He loved going on long walks in the woods and taking his kids out to spot deer at night. They would also go on long trips just to buy ice cream from a stand. Jim's door was always open too all his kid's friends; he considered them family and treated them as such. Jim is survived by his children, James, Adam, Kristen, and Brandon; grandchildren Larkin, Maximus, Adley, Kaitlyn, Jadion, Kaison, Aizen, and Aaiden. No services are planned at this time.
