James "Pj" Schulker

James A. “Jim” “PJ” Schulker, age 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 7, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

PJ was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Margaret “Peggy/Margie” Schulker; his parents, Roland and Margaret Schulker; and his brothers, Carl (Lou Anne) and Lou Schulker. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Julie (Matt) Fagley, Angie (Kevin) Bond, Christine Nolden, Theresa Werling; son, Chad Schulker and family; grandchildren, Daniel (Emma) Hoffman, Caroline Hoffman, Anna (Adam) Radebaugh, Abi Bond, Allyce (Corben) Hartzell, AJ Bond, David (Dana) Pingleton, Rebecca (Alan) Seagraves; great-grandchildren, Francis Lee Benjamin Hartzell, Jennica, Peyton & Hunter Pingleton, Korryn and Brynlee Seagraves, as well as his great-great grandson, Jackson Frey; sister, Pat (John) Liening; sister-in-law, Sue Schulker and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

PJ was a 1957 graduate of Chaminade High School and a 1963 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He enjoyed a variety of careers, such as, being a pharmacist, owning P.J. Home Repair and working as a real estate broker for Hodges Realty and Keller Williams Advantage. He also served as a volunteer fire fighter/EMT for many years.

PJ and his wife, Peggy, were members of Christian Life Center in Dayton. He enjoyed being an usher at weekly services and special events. He participated in Alpha, Promise Keepers, and when the church doors were open, PJ was there serving! CLC was his second home for many years.

PJ’s family meant the world to him. He had a big heart and will be fondly remembered as an amazing caregiver to his wife, Peggy, for over a decade. He showed such love and compassion toward her and his legacy will be carried on through his family for generations to come.

On Thursday, May 16th, a gathering of family and friends will be held at Christian Life Center (west auditorium), 3489 Little York Road in Dayton, from 6-7pm with a celebration of life service from 7-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
