James Stephen Robb, 70, was taken home to the Lord peacefully on September 1st, 2025. He had been surrounded by multiple family members and friends who wanted to say goodbye at his time at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. 2:10 pm the time you passed; will forever be special, 10 being your football jersey number during your time at Rogers High School in Toledo Ohio. On a “Manic Monday," Jim was born on April 28,1955 in St. Louis, Missouri and raised near Chicago, Illinois.
A jewel surrounded by rough stones. Jim was an incredible father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Heather L. Stokes (Robb); son(s) in heart, Robert A. Stokes and Alex R. Young; grandson, Christian J. Stokes and his best friend for life, Vickie A. Ulman (Robb-Goldfuss). His mother “Peg” was born in 1925, Margaret Robb (Klein); brothers, David Robb and Scott Robb; sisters, Nancy Robb (Shaffer) and Cindy Kelly (Robb); multiple nieces and a nephew, as well as multiple great-nieces and nephews.
Tell everyone we miss that they'd better have welcomed you with a rock & roll party with some early 80's and 90's Christian ballads. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Daniel Robb, the Klein matriarchy, and the Robb patriarchy; his grandfather, Harry Duplien Robb, former NFL player, coach, referee, and Pennsylvania area football legacy for the Canton Bulldogs in the 1920's - 1930's referee until his untimely passing in 1971. In 1963, Robb represented his former teammate, Wilbur Henry, as Henry was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
His celebration of life is planned to be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 as the month of thanks at Millbury Veteran's Memorial Fire Hall, 28410 Oak Street, Millbury, Ohio 43447. Sharing of memories will take place from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm with a small ceremony at 4:15 pm. Potluck will follow at 5:00 pm to laugh, smile, sing, and have fellowship with one another. Dishes will be accepted. Please feel free to bring sides or a dessert.
He was always thankful no matter what life brought his way. Please make all donations to NAMI as mental illness awareness was always a part of his legacy. You are enough. Always.
