James Marvin Pasch, 72 years old, went home to be with the Lord on March 25th, 2021 at 11:00 p.m. James was resting at home enjoying the constant attention and devotion of his wife after a three-year battle with three different types of cancers including multiple surgeries and procedures. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Marvin Earl Pasch and Sarah Jane (Ridge) Pasch. James served in the Navy as an aircraft mechanic on the USS Constellation. He also completed two WESTPAC deployments to the Tonkin Gulf. He worked for Penn Central, Conrail, and Norfolk Southern Railroads, retiring after 44 years of service. He was awarded many safety commendations and was known as “lighting”, because he always put safety first. Jim enjoyed weightlifting, taking care of his horses, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. “Blue Papa” loved watching his grandchildren participate in basketball, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling. His horses were his pride and joy for over 20 years until his grandchildren took precedence. James is survived by Debra Pasch, Julie Yalung (Gary), Marvin E. Pasch II, Jacob Haag, Corinne Kokensparger (Richard), Melinda Lopez (Jake), and grandchildren: Caleb Dean Haag, Naomi Yalung, Kaytelee Kokensparger, Keefer Kokensparger, Judson Kokensparger, Penelope Haag, Urijah Lopez, Theodore Lopez, and Kellen Lopez. He was predeceased by Sarah Jane Pasch, Marvin E. Pasch, and Karl Pasch.
