James R. Mcmullen

James Roger McMullen passed away in Sylvania, Ohio on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the age of 81. He was born at Toledo Hospital on September 16, 1939 to Edwin and Margaret (McWilliam) McMullen. James was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. James married Linda (Fry) in 1966 and was married for 21 years. James married Janice (Bryan) in 1991 and was married for 10 years. James was very active in his younger years in the community with the Blissfield Jaycees and his favorite activity was helping with the haunted pool. He was a member of Solid Rock Missionary Church from 2008 until his dementia made it hard for him to attend. He was a former member of El3ment Church for 38 years. He loved doing landscaping for the church and community. He loved fishing, bowling and playing golf. James retired from the Adrian Post Office after over 25 years. James is survived by his brothers and sister, Gary (Gayle) McMullen, Ora Valley, AZ., Kathleen (Gary) Carlson, Rockford, IL, Dennis (Janet) McMullen, Rockford, IL.; his children, Dawn (Dan) Studebaker, Bellevue NE., Douglas (Christina) McMullen, Toledo, OH.; and step-daughter, Rachel (Ricky) Hudson, Adrian MI.; 11 grandchildren, Rachel (Weston), Bethany, Sean, Josiah, Savannah, Jaden, Collin, Sarah, Camden, Vera, Cora and 2 great-grandchildren Devon and Alaina, and many nieces and nephews. Celebration service will be held Friday, July 2, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Lyons Christian Church, 138 E. Morenci St., Lyons, Ohio 43533.
