We are sad to announce the passing of James Albert Madge (Jim) of Toledo, Ohio. Jim died on Sunday, June 25 at the age of 87. He passed peacefully in his sleep with his loving wife, Carol, at his side along with his sons, Bart, and Dale.
Jim and Carol spent many winters in Apache Junction, Arizona and summers either at their home in Toledo, Ohio or in Osoyoos, British Columbia, Canada, as well as traveling to New Zealand, Ireland, Mexico and Hawaii.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carol Callies Madge; his brothers Mick (Sharon) Madge, Ward (Bonnie) Madge; brother-in-law Wayne Ferguson; his sons Bart (Phyllis) Madge, Dale (Rosi) Bosclair; his daughters Tami (Peter) Dunston-Adams, Sheri (Steve) Debowski; his step-daughters Cathy (John) Kusnier, Christy (Greg) Andrews, Amy (Chris) D’Alton; and step-son Gary (Sheri) Callies, along with 15 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Lois Madge, his brother, Geoffry and Geoff’s wife, Lonnie; his sisters Victoria Ferguson and Margaret Madge.
A service will be held in the chapel at Park Congregational Church located at Harvard and Glendale in Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday, June 27, at 7:00 pm.
