James L. Harmon

James L. Harmon, 57, of Toledo passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 in his home in West Toledo. Jim ended a 2 year battle with esophageal cancer, which he fought with remarkable strength and attitude. Jim was born in Monroe, Michigan to Isaac Harmon and Marjorie (Edmondson) (Harmon) DiPaolo (dec.). Jim was a 1975 Woodward High School graduate. He later earned a degree from Owens State Community College in 1978 and worked in the construction trade as a Project Manager & Estimator for over 30 years. Jim enjoyed golfing with his sons and brother, being outdoors, and drinking beer in the driveway with his wife, Melanie. Jim just recently celebrated his 32nd wedding anniversary with Melanie (Innes) Harmon. Jim is also survived by his sons, James T. (Lisa) Harmon of Green Bay, Jeffery T. Harmon, and Joseph T. Harmon, his grandsons Jase and Jaxon Harmon, father Isaac (Karen) Harmon, brother Paul (Connie) Harmon, step brother Scott (Cheryl) Geordt, inlaws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends. A memorial service for Jim will be held on Friday June 26, 2015 at Memorial Lutheran Church, 3215 Douglas Rd., Toledo, OH 43606. Visitation is at 10AM with the service beginning at 11.
