James H. Douglas

James Harold Douglas, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, May 13, 2023. He was born on September 8, 1932, in Newbern, Tennessee, to Ralph and Ali Mae Douglas, who preceded him in death.

He was a great father and was always willing to help his family and friends. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Air Force from 1952 until he was honorably discharged in 1972.

James is survived by his daughter, Marlene Douglas; grandson Miles Bishop; sisters, Bettye Beard and Charlotte Mallory; Aunt Oteria Mosley; and nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in passing are his parents; son, James Douglas, Jr.; sisters, Arlene Williams, Willie Mae Douglas, Linda Kay Gentry;and brothers, Ralph Douglas, Jr., William James Douglas, and Willie Fred Douglas.

Final resting site will be at the family plot in Newbern, TN.
