Jacqueline Tripp, 77, beloved mother of Thomas Tripp and Laura Tripp, died suddenly from a stroke on Friday, May 29th, 2009, at The University of Toledo Medical College. She was the only child of the late John and Elsie Brug.Her children, Tom (Mary-Anne) of Christchurch, New Zealand and Laura with whom she shared her home on Ogden Avenue; Lauras children, Nicholas, Griffin and Danae; her goddaughter/cousin, Patricia Miller; cousins, Linda (Mel) Miller Hopkins, Doris Schultz Ramsden, Marilyn Miller Mickel, James (Carol) Brug, and Robert (Cindy) Brug of Las Vegas, NV all survive her. Jackies granddaughter, Meggin, daughter of Tom and her Aunt Mollie Brug Miller, to whom Jackie was like a daughter, and her cousin, Richard Schultz also preceded her in death. Richards wife, Margaret also survives.Jackie was baptized and attended Bethel Lutheran Church before becoming ill. After graduation from Libby High School she attended The University of Toledo. She spent most of her life in South Toledo, but lived for a time in Temperance, MI. Her last employment was as a retail clerk at Montgomery Wards at Southwyck. During the time Tom and Laura were young, she was an active volunteer at Crossgates School. Jackies primary concern in life was the well-being of her children and grandchildren. She and her family spent many happy days at the family cottage at Marble Lake, MI. To honor the last wishes of Jacqueline, she has been cremated and no public service will be held. Burial will be in the family plot at Toledo Memorial Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the American Stroke Association.
