Jack Sobczak, age 87, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2016 in his home at The Waterford at Levis Commons. Jack was born on October 18, 1929 in Toledo to Katherine (Mosiniak) and Charles Sobczak. Jack was a longtime member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. He served in the Korean Conflict as a radio operator PFC, where he was stationed in Germany. Jack retired in 1985 from L.O.F. after 30 years where he worked in the Flat Template Dept. Jack was an AVID Detroit Tigers fan, along with being a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Football teams. He could often be heard yelling at the television during game time. Jack was also a longtime member of Roman Buddy Frankowski VFW Post 5530. Jack is survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia; daughters, Jacklyn (Mike) Zydorczyk and Sharon (Jeff) Przysiecki; grandchildren, April Zydorczyk of Peoria, AZ, and Matthew Zydorczyk of Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Dorothy, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ben and Clarence; sister, Lillian; brothers-in-law, Stanley and Ray; and sisters-in-law, Fernanda and Caroline. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, OH.
