Irma Dia

Irma Catherine Dia (nee Owens) best known as Kitty, was reunited with her beloved family in heaven on May 5, 2025.

She was born July 12, 1960, in Sylvania, Ohio where she earned her monomynous nickname Kitty because of her dear love of cats and animals in general but if you know you know.

Kitty was known by those who loved her as a funny, vibrant, and artistic woman. If you ever went in public with Kitty you knew her irreverent spirit was going to be in full force and she would find a way to make you laugh or get people to laugh at you. Jokes, pranks, and humor were her love language. Her laugh was the most contagious thing this world will have ever heard.

She made friends with just about anyone she met and had the unique ability to make you feel at home with one of her all-encompassing hugs.

Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, Scottland and Patricia Owens; brother, Kevin Owens; sister, Linda Owens; and daughter-in-law, Amanda. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted son whom she considered to be the biggest blessing and light of her life, Elijah; granddaughter, Alexis; great-granddaughter, Ava; lifelong friend, Joellen; and many other friends, family members and fur babies.
