Walbridge

Holly Ann Pheils-Reffitt (Davis), age 63, passed away on January 3, 2026, in Walbridge, Ohio, after an ongoing battle with cancer. She was born on February 28, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, where she also grew up and spent much of her life.

Holly was the heart of her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and daughter, family was the foundation of everything she did. She was the proud mother of seven children, Mike (Chris) Thomas, Christal (Justin) Salman, Janette (Brent) Miller, Jennifer (Rob) Whitt, Stephanie (Matt) Giles, Lyle (Kristen) Pheils, and Cynthia (Joe) Wallace. In addition to her children, Holly lovingly raised her grandson, James until he was 12 years old, and he held a very special place in her heart.

Holly was blessed with 18 grandchildren, along with several more through extended family that she joyfully claimed as her own. That was simply her way—if she loved you and you loved her, you were family.

She deeply loved her family and found a great joy in spending time with them. She enjoyed crafting and creating handmade gifts, always thinking of others. Holly also had a passion for genealogy and took great joy in learning about and preserving her family’s history. She had a strong faith that guided her life, a bright and contagious smile that lit up every room, and a deep love for music that brought her joy and comfort.

Holly was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Lyle Pheils; her sister, Cathy Hern; and her father, Merle Davis.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Reffitt; her seven children and all of her grandchildren; her mother, Helen Davis; her brother, Ted Davis; and her sister, Sherry Alhadeff.

A celebration of Holly’s life will be held in early May. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later time.

Holly’s love, faith, and devotion to family—past, present, and future—will live on through the many lives she touched.
