Henry L. Davis, 74, of Toledo, passed away on February 11th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Henry was born on August 10, 1947 in Sunflower, Mississippi, to Jim and Mary (Pittman) Davis. Henry attended Edward Drummond Libbey High School and later graduated from the Lathrop School of Construction. Henry was the owner - operator of H. Davis and Sons Trucking for over 40 years. His company was awarded multiple state contracts in which he took great pride in. Henry was a dedicated family man, he loved his family above all else. Henry’s second love was music. He was an accomplished artist who performed both as a singer and drummer for a variety of bands in Toledo and the surrounding areas. His passion and drive for music led him to Motown for meetings with various artists including Barry Gordy and Stevie Wonder. Henry is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Deana (Matney) Davis. Sons; Jimi, Trevor (Ashley), and Cameron Davis. Daughters; Tammy Harmon, Sydney, and Mollee Davis. Seven grandchildren, as well as baby boy Davis due June 2022, and nine great-grandchildren. Henry is also survived by his father in law, Tomie Matney (Maryan Eitniear), as well as many other loving family members and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Molly Matney. A celebration of Henry’s life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles - 658 Lime City Rd, Rossford, Ohio 43460, on Sunday, February 20th, 2022 from 1 PM to 5 PM with a prayer service and sharing of memories beginning at 4 PM.
