Helen Hoak

Helen Louise (Buck) Hoak, age 94, passed away peacefully Dec 2, 2025 at Parkcliff Assisted Living in Northwood, Ohio. Helen was born in New Washington, Ohio in 1931. She graduated from Libby H.S..

Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Richard V. Hoak, Sr.; her parents, Clarence and Anna Buck; son, Richard, Jr.; daughter, Rose (Hoak) Griffith; brothers, Robert, Clarence "C.J." and Gerald; sisters, Luella Lloyd, Mary Vinson and Nancy Conklin.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Hoak) Powell (Franz Schlievert); brothers, Orlan and Richard; grandchildren, David (Dedra) Griffith, Kim (C.J.) Dickinson, Daniel Powell, Melody Powell (Jonathan Harrison), Jessica (Nicholas) Trombley; 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Helen was a graduate of Libbey H.S., she was an avid reader and loved doing all kinds of puzzles. She was also a long time member of Westside Community Church.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Parkcliff Assisted Living for the wonderful care they provided Helen.
