Hazel L. Rosemond

Hazel Loretta (Netters) Rosemond departed her earthly life on Sunday, January 5, 2025 into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Hazel was born to Buck Netters and Queen Esther McCallister in Scott, Mississippi on October 2, 1947. She was one of seven siblings. The family moved to Toledo, Ohio 1959. She attended Jesup W. Scott High School where she graduated in 1967.

Hazel had the pleasure of being a loving and devoted mother to three children; Urel Terrance Galloway, James Delanor Galloway and Delories Ann Galloway.

Hazel worked for Toledo Public Schools for over 20 plus years in building services before retirement. Hazel united in marriage to Kenneth B. Rosemond Sr in 1998. She relocated to Gilbert. Arizona where she spent many years before returning to Toledo, Ohio.

Hazel loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member at New Home Baptist Church. She served on the Mother’s Board until her transition to her heavenly home.

Hazel was a very loving, generous, and kind person. She enjoyed tending to her plants, spending time with her children, loving on her grandchildren, taking walks, and going to the casino.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents Buck Netters and Queen Esther McCallister. Brother-Eddie C. Williams. Sisters-Fredonia Phillips, Jessie Linzy, Essie Mae Williams, and Mary Virginia Fowler.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Husband, Kenneth Rosemond Sr., Children, Urel Galloway, James Galloway of Columbus OH and Delories (Tyrone) Galloway of Toledo. Brother-Henry Vaughns of Toledo. Stepchildren, Ken (Amy) Rosemond, Arethia Rosemond, Keith (Tyese) Rosemond, Monica (Tyrone) McCain of Toledo. Five grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition, a host of loving relatives, step grandchildren, and friends.
