Harold Kohne

October 3, 1939 — July 3, 2025

Harold “Bud” D. Kohne, age 85, passed away surrounded with love and comfort, in his home on July 3, 2025. He was born on October 3,1939, in Oregon, Ohio to Elmer and Alma (Schacht) Kohne.

Bud was enlisted in the US Army in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1969. He was a heavy equipment operator at LOF for 34 years before retiring.

Bud was always a very active man. He enjoyed snowmobiling and bowling when he was younger. Working on cars was a great passion. If you couldn’t find him in his garage, he was likely either at the casino, taking a quick run down to the gas station, over at his Local VFW post 9816, where he was a member, or out on the lake in his boat, where he enjoyed fishing or just a nice simple cruise down the river. He loved his tv shows, Gunsmoke, Family Fued, Cash Explosion and Price is Right were a few of his favorites. But just sitting at home, listening to music, reminiscing and spending time with family, friends and his dog Blue was most special to him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his children, Cindy Kohne, Jeffery “Deke” Kohne and Greg (Sarah Jacobs) Kohne; grandchildren, Heather (Matt) Armstrong, Ashley Coutcher, Brayden Kohne, Chloie Kohne; great-grandchildren, Jayden Coutcher, Riley and Addison Armstrong; siblings, Lois (Dolly) Jones; many nieces and nephews; Long time friend Jim Daney; and special friend Sue Toth.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by his loving wife, Marilyn whom he missed dearly; his brother Howard; sister Carol; and nephew Ginny.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
