Obituary

Harold H. Champnoise, age 60, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital surrounded by his family.

Harold was born to Harold and Marilyn Hedges (nee Stemen) on October 19, 1965. He was later adopted by David Champnoise when he married his mother, Marilyn. Harold was a graduate of Sylvania Northview High School.

He was the proud owner of Champ Painting.

He had a profound passion for music. He was a talented guitar player. He played in several local bands: Krause, Meanstreak, Brothers Grim, Fetish Doll, 5th Floor and Messenger Hd. He enjoyed performing with these bands and was also able to share that joy and passion with his brother Matt who played Bass guitar with several of these bands as well.

He loved his family fiercely. He is survived by his wife, Shanna, of 26 years; sons, Hayden and Travis Champnoise; mother-in-law, Jackie Farmer; brothers, Matt Champnoise and David (Nancy) Champnoise and sister, Kati (Chad) Staifer. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Marilyn, Harold and David.
