Gwenda “Gwen” Angell born to Harold and Maggie Swarbrick on July 11, 1935 in Tideswell, England passed away on June 26, 2022 peacefully with family at her side. Gwen pursued a career in nursing which brought her to the United States, when she saw an article in a magazine that a hospital in Toledo, Ohio was in need of nurses. She worked as a nurse which is how she met her husband Donald Angell and married in 1959. They celebrated 63 years of marriage together. Gwen enjoyed growing beautiful roses that her mother taught her how to grow and has passed that knowledge to her daughters and granddaughter. She truly enjoyed her daughter’s Julie and Diane’s love for animals of every kind and supported them owning and showing animals through 4-H for many years. The family’s love of camping started with a homemade camper in the early 70’s and turned into yearly trips to the Florida Keys. The trips to the Florida Keys became a loved family tradition. She was a Bedford bus driver for 20+ years from which she retired from. After retirement Gwen and Don enjoyed many vacations, cruises together, and trips to visit family. She supported each and every one of her family members' decisions. Gwen would always look forward to family gatherings and making sure each detail was perfect. After leaving Michigan for 30 years Gwen and Don were able to return to the home, they raised their family in and enjoyed many memories together. Left to cherish her memory are husband Donald Angell, daughters Julie Angell, Diane (Jerry) Angell-Hiser, step-son Jack (Patricia) Angell; grandchildren Jennifer (Benjamin) Pierce, Steven (Nicole) Ednie, J.J.
