Gloria Ann Palencsar

August 21, 1959 — June 30, 2023

Gloria A. (George) Palencsar, 63, unexpectedly passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on June 30, 2023.

She was born on August 21, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio to her parents, Donald L. George Sr. and Marian A. George (Lehman). She was a 1976 graduate of Woodward High school.

Gloria was a doting mother of 3 children whom she loved with all her heart. The unconditional love and acceptance that she showed to everyone was one of her greatest hallmarks. She was free spirited, bold, quick witted and hilarious. She was never afraid to speak her mind and strongly believed “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.” Strangers, acquaintances and loved ones gravitated to her inherent nurturing disposition. She never judged, as she knew her own human frailties and understood that others had theirs too. That is one of many qualities that made her so remarkably unique.

She was passionate in everything that she did. In addition to her careers in healthcare and as a floral designer, she was also a gifted, self-taught musician who loved to play piano and sing. She was an irreplaceable member of her family trio, which sang regularly at church and family gatherings. She had a deep love for all animals, a strong cup of coffee and a warm home to cook comforting meals for those most important to her.

Despite many hardships in her life, Gloria always managed to prioritize and abundantly care for everyone that she cherished. She always maintained her love for God, family and friends, and continued to persevere to be the best mother, daughter and sister anyone could hope for.

Until her final breath, Gloria stood on her strong Christian values and faithfully declared the love she had for God and for the great faithfulness and mercy He had shown her throughout her life.

Gloria is survived by her children, Adam Murphy, Kaitlyn Palencsar, Madison Palencsar; siblings, Howard (Diane) George, Jeanette (George) Donbrosky, Elaine Toth, Donald (Deboira) George Jr., Gail (Jim) Kreason; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ali Stabley; ex husband and lifelong friend, Joseph G. Palencsar Jr.

Her favorite scripture to declare was (Isaiah 43:2-3) Fear not for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou pass through the waters, I will be with thee and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee. When thou weakest through the fire, thou shall not be burnt. For I am the Lord your God.
