Early Sunday morning September 23, 2012 the world lost a beautiful person and we lost a wonderful mom. Glo lost her life after battling cancer for several years. She was born on February 13, 1934 to Esther and Clayton Frederick and was raised by her mom and step-dad Milford Lammon. She married Richard Minkowski on June 21, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1996. She raised 6 children; Rick, Neil, Marla (Jack) King, Andra (Chet) Greene, Shawna (Dave) Mitchell and Mia (Kirby) Minkowski. She had 12 grandchildren whom she wanted to be surrounded by all the time:Milo, Jason, Jessie, Lyndy, Kristin, Eric, Tommy, Amaya, Amar, Zayna, Sean (Bubby) and Alex. She also had 4 great-grandchildren Destiny, Cameron, Peyton and Malaya.Glo loved to read and would frequently stay up all night with a good book. She loved her crossword puzzles, Yahtzee and Scrabble and you always knew when you played scrabble with her you were going to lose. She had a soft spot for animals, especially her cats Percy, PeeWee and Blinkers. She had dogs as well. Frank, Harold and Susie were also a part of her family. She always made sure her animals were comfortable even if it meant us finding random articles of our own clothes in their houses to keep them warm Ha Ha. She liked hanging out with her family. There were always people at her house, the noisier the better. She loved kids and her door was always open to all.In addition to her children she is also survived by her sister Sheila Wooten and her sons Robbie, David and Eddie. Also, her brother Bruce (Joan) Lammon and their children. She also had many nieces, nephews and many, many friends as well as a special friend, Leonard Kaczmark. She was preceeded in death by her brothers John and Denny and her grandson Emanual. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all their care and support and our sister Mia for all she did for our mother in her last months of life. Please join us for a celebration of Glos life on Saturday October 6th between 2 pm and 8 pm at Shawnas house at 12 Birckhead Place ( off Cherry St. near Central Catholic High School).
