Gladys A. Latif

Gladys Audrey Latif (Sidell), 78, passed away on October 19th, 2024; she was surrounded by family. Gladys was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 24th, 1946, to Arthur L. Sidell & Helen H. Haas.

Gladys lived in Chicago most of her life, owning her own cleaning company- GALs Cleaning Service. Gladys loved family, especially her grandkids and nieces and nephews. She loved spending time sewing and crocheting, making clothes and blankets for her and other family members. Gladys moved back to Toledo in 2009 from Chicago, IL to retire near family.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Sidell & Helen Magner; her sisters, Penny Johnson and Kathleen Pease; her brothers, Arthur Sidell, Charles Sidell, Joseph Sidell, Robert Sidell, and Rollo Sidell; and her son, Dwayne Latif.

Surviving Gladys are her two sons, Jeremiah L. Hauser (Lori) from Findlay, OH and Glenn D. Hauser (wife Peggy) from Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Toni Mintrose from Toledo OH, and Katherina H. Potter (husband Scott) from Mossyrock, WA; brother, Harold Sidell from Monroe, MI; and sister in-law, Linda Sidell from Oregon, OH. Gladys helped raise two granddaughters, Jessica and Christina from Toledo OH. Gladys has 38 nieces and nephews; 6 grandchildren, Mark, Tim, Sean, Jessica, Christina, Justin; and 1 great grandchild, Russell.

There will be a celebration of life on November 9th, 2024 at Sunrise Park & Banquet Center, 1460 Woodville Road, Millbury, OH 43447 from 11am – 3pm.
