Geraldine A. Rudolph

Geraldine “Gerri” Ann (Snider) Rudolph, 77, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Grand Rapids Care Center. She was born October 12, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, to Gerald “Herb” and Beatrice (Toeppe) Snider.

Gerri grew up in Northwood, graduating in 1964 from Northwood High School. While in high school she won a half-dozen local beauty titles, including Queen of the Waterville Festival and Northwood Homecoming Queen. Not just beautiful, Gerri was also very smart – a member of Mensa and an avid card player.

Perhaps her most notable trait was an uncanny knack for befriending anyone. For Gerri, there were no strangers – only friends she hadn’t met. She led an amazing, colorful life, and her adventures led to her living in Connecticut and Pennsylvania before eventually returning home to Toledo. She loved animals of all kinds and was happiest doting on her beloved grandchildren. Her kind spirit and sharp wit will be missed.

Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald “Herb” and Beatrice Snider; sister, Linda Steyer; and niece, Andrea Steyer.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Stacy) Clapp; beloved grandchildren, Ava and Maya; brothers, Herb (Carol) Snider and Dave (Judy) Snider; brother-in-law, Don (Joan) Steyer; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Darlene (Jerry) Harrison.

A private celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
