George P. Berridge, Ii

George P. Berridge II, 93, of Helena, Ohio, passed away June 17, 2023, at Otterbein Pemberville Senior Life Community. George was born at Toledo Hospital on June 11, 1930, to George P. & Matilda Berridge. He grew up the youngest of 3 brothers, Charles Berridge (passed on) & Richard Berridge (passed on) in the Bradner, Ohio area. He was a 1948 graduate of Bradner High School. Finally meeting the girl of his dreams, George married Angie L. Shoemaker on July 5, 1952. George is survived by Angie, and she is a resident at Otterbein Pemberville Senior Life Community.


As a retiree of the Ford Motor Company. He was a cost accountant for the Sandusky, Ohio Ford plant. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing vacations in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at Thunder Lake, working in the yard, and tinkering in his garage. Anyone that knew him would say “I’ve never seen George turn down a scoop of ice cream.” He is a 50 year plus, member of the Masons and enjoyed his time spent as a Zenobia Shriner driving his “Jeepster” in local parades.


Those left to remember George are his wife, Angie Berridge, their children, and their children’s families: Sheree (Berridge) Silcox and (husband) Mark Silcox, George Berridge III, (wife) Anesa & children (daughter) Krista and (son) Ian with his sons Asher and Alex, Kevin Berridge, (wife) Ida and (son) Geoffrey, and Chad Berridge, (wife) Stephanie and (daughter) Rheanna.


Per George’s wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, 1793 W McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410.
