Gary L. Schutt, Jr.

Gary L. Schutt, Jr., 60, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away July 11, 2024, in Toledo, Ohio, at his daughters home. Gary was born and raised in the Toledo area and to know him was to love him. He loved Jesus, his family, fiancee, and friends immensely. He will be remembered for his astounding endurance, immeasurable patience, magnetic spirit, contagious smile, loving and giving heart, great sense of humor, kid loving, being a “dog whisperer”, and having a heck of a head of hair! To know Gary was a blessing, honor, and privilege. Gary worked several years as a supervisor at Sterling Pipe and Tube prior to his retiring.

He is survived by his father, Gary Schutt, Sr. of Wauseon, Ohio; daughter Sarrah (Mike) Genzler of Casper,Wyoming; Josh (Cassie) Schutt of London, Ohio; daughter Georgia (Dan) Schutt of Toledo, Ohio; son Gary Schutt of Toledo, Ohio; sister Pam (Joe) Sell of Monclova, Ohio; sister Susie (Rob) Twigg of Holland, Ohio; sister Rhonda (Jack) Stephenson of Florida, and sister Valerie Stephenson of Indiana. He prided himself being known as “Papa” to his grandkids Heather, Mia, Emma, Jayden, Chase and Jaxson along with Uncle Gary to several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother Judith Schutt Wickard, Step-father Gary Wickard, step-mother Marie Schutt and sister Cheryl Leininger.
