It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frederick Karl Rogge, who passed away on March 30, 2025. Fred was born to Frederick H. and Viola Rogge on January 10, 1941. Fred was brought home to Bronx Drive, and he lived in South Toledo, Ohio, for the rest of his life. He attended Burroughs Elementary and Libbey High School, Class of 1959 and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. It was at Highland Park in the summer of 1958, that he met his match in Brenda Kurschat, also a student at Libbey, Class of 1960. After high school, Fred enrolled at the University of Toledo and graduated with a degree in business.
Married in 1962, Fred and Brenda settled on Bronx Drive, just down the street from his parents. They had two children, Fred and Dana. Fred’s career was spent in the automotive industry, first at Inmont and then he finished his working life at the Ford Stamping Plant, in Maumee, Ohio, retiring in 2002. Fred dedicated his life to Brenda and his family.
His bond with Brenda was a special one, lasting over 60 years in this world but everlasting in eternity. Always there when needed, involved and engaged in the activities of his children.
Fred jumped into being a grandfather, always the biggest fan of his grandchildren; Chris, Haley, Jack and Madelin. Be it baseball, baton twirling, dancing, softball, football, color guard, marching band, he was always there.
Fred had numerous hobbies over the years. He played baseball, basketball and fastpitch softball in his youth. Over the years, he had interest in fishing, camping up North, grilling, gardening, stained glass, crossword puzzles, golf and Ohio State Football.
He made the best of his journey, was dearly loved and is gone too soon.
