Frederick Anderson Becker

Frederick Anderson Becker, 59, left this world too soon on January 8, 2022 after complications of COVID-19. He will be remembered for his large sense of humor, matched only by the strength of his bear hugs, kind spirit, easy going attitude and loving ways. Born the third child of Joanne Ruth and Frederick Anderson Becker on February 25, 1962, Fred attended Maumee High School (Class of 1981) and worked at Martin Machine for 39 years. He lived his life as a gentle giant, who didn’t like playing football because he didn't want to hit people, and who crafted delicate, beautiful pottery for his friends and family. Fred enjoyed a brief retirement, during which he indulged in fishing, riding his Harley and working his dream property in Neapolis, OH. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Nadine Threse (Davis) Becker; his siblings Cathryn Jo (Michael L) Kaminski and Jeffrey C (Connie L) Becker; Derrik Wise, who was like a little brother to Fred; his wife’s siblings Jean Marie (Larry) English, Clayton Louis (Bud) (Connie) Davis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Joanne Ruth and Frederick Anderson Becker, and Nadine’s parents Evelyn Louise and Clayton Louis Davis, and Nadine’s Sister Kathey Jo Davis. A celebration of life will take place on July 9, 2022 at the Maumee State Forest, 3390 County Rd. D. (South Side) Swanton, OH, 43558, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, where a light lunch, refreshments, and memories of Fred will be shared.
