On January 19th, 2019, Franklin E. Lowrie, 72, passed away after losing his valiant battle with cancer. A graduate of Scott High School, he worked 28 years for Insulators Local 45 Toledo serving on the Executive Board, VP 2002, and President 2004. On November 8, 1968, he married the love of his life, Peggy Ann Berry. They had five children, Brian (Nicole), BettyJane (Jon Rahn), Brooke, Jeremy (Heather), and Amanda (Ryan) Haack. Franklin had a passion for traveling with Peggy in their camper. He loved history, deep sea fishing, OSU football, Mickey Mantle, and listening to Johnny Mathis. He was known for his outgoing personality, friendliness, and unbridled love for everyone. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth (Swart) Lowrie; sister, Helen. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by 12 grandchildren; special nieces, Linda, Cindy, and Cheryl; sister, Patricia. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 at noon at Whitehouse Cemetery, 6645 Cemetery Rd, followed by his 73rd birthday/life celebration at Conrad Park Rec. Bldg, 798 Michigan Ave, Waterville. Flowers/donations are to be sent to 24 Zachary Circle, Waterville. We lovingly remember Franklin who considered his five children his Legacy of LOVE, and we imagine he is running the bases with Mickey Mantle.
