Frank Edward Wollenbecker of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on November 2, 2026, at the age of 69. He was born on December 8, 1956, to Agnes and Harry Wollenbecker, who preceded him in death.

Frank retired from Johnson Controls after more than 30 years. Some of the friendships he treasured most began with the people he worked alongside there.

Frank loved muscle cars, especially Corvettes and Shelbys. More than anything, he enjoyed having company over. He was happiest sitting in his garage with a wood fire going, listening to doo-wop and spending time with whoever stopped by. He loved a good Western, and Saturday nights at eight were reserved for Svengoolie. He never missed it.

Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sue Wollenbecker, and his children, Frank Wollenbecker Jr. and Amy Kovacs (Eric Kovacs). He also leaves behind his grandson, Eric Kovacs Jr. (Estrella Resendez), and their two boys, his great-grandsons Ezekiel, 4, and Elias, 2.

In keeping with Frank's wishes, he will be cremated, and his family will hold a private ceremony. His family is grateful to everyone who has reached out and shared memories of him.

We'll think of you when a Corvette goes by, when a familiar doo-wop song comes on, and when we catch the smell of a wood fire. It's going to be hard without you. We love you, and we already miss you so much.
