Floyd E. Rose

Floyd E. Rose, age 96, passed away December 12 at Hospice of Toledo. He was born December 16, 1925, in Tennessee to Bert and Belle (Holt) Rose. He moved to Toledo for work, where he met and married his wife, Rosemary Place. He worked at CSX Railroad until he retired in 1986.

He is survived by sons: Don, Randy, Jeff, and Kevin (Denese) and daughter, Christy (Ric), as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. He spent many years as a V. I. P. (Volunteers in Parks) at Maumee Bay State Park.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and a good penny poker game with fellow retirees. More recently he looked forward to his Sunday rides though Oak Openings State Park with his son-in-law.

The family wishes to thank the Hospice staff for the amazing care they provided for Floyd.
