Eva Rose
Harter
May 23, 1942 — Jul 28, 2026
Eva Rose (Doczi) Harter passed peacefully in her home on July 28, 2026. Born May 23, 1942, in Lorado, West Virginia.
A Marine Veteran, she would talk about how her service trained her and formed her into the person she is today. She was a proud Marine. (HOOHa-marine shout) She loved her children the best she could and continued that love onto her grandchildren and her seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was a plant enthusiast and enjoyed digging in her flower garden, always with a dozen or more house plants to tend to inside. Although her body did not cooperate with her, her mind was quick and always had a joke or funny story to share about the hills of West Virginia. Way up the hollar...
She is preceded in death by her parents, Andy Doczi Sr and Ruby Doczi (Mills); her brothers, Andy (Charlene) Doczi Jr., John (Eleanor) Doczi, Jim (Ann) Doczi, Joe (Patty) Doczi, and her life partner of 35 years, Ray Potter. She is survived by her brothers, George (Dottie) Doczi and David Doczi; and her children, Barbara Webster, Mark (Beth) Webster and Brenda (Bob) Gross; grandchildren; and her many great grandchildren. She loved them all and spoke of them often.
She enjoyed many new friendships with her Meals on Wheels ladies and cherished her forever friend, Nikki.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of these services in her honor, Elara Caring Hospice Care, Meals on Wheels of Northwest Ohio, The V.A., Village Caregiving, or Paws and Whiskers animal shelter.
A small memorial will be planned at a later date. Thank you for all of your support and prayers. God bless you all. It was never goodbye but "Later"- Eva
