Ella Katherine Hofmann

Ella Katherine Hofmann, 75, of Erie MI., passed away on June 3, 2013 , in Toledo OH. At the Hospice Center of Northwest Ohio, after a long battle with cancer. Ella was a loving and giving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, mother in law, aunt and friend. She was born on February 4, 1938. She attended Whiteford High School and graduated from Whitmer High School in 1956. She was employed at Dura for 22 years, and Donnell for 10 years. She raised her two sons, daughter, and step-son. She enjoyed boating, and being with her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her husband, John C. Hofmann Sr. and her step son, John C. Hofmann Jr. Ella is survived by her loving son and caregiver, Michael (Michele) Hofmann and his daughter, Taryn Irene. Her loving daughter, Sheila (Patrick) Stevens and her children, Brendan and Kylie. Her son, Richard (Jamy) Bowman and his children, Jenny, Lindsay, and Katie. Ellas beloved sister, Charlotte Yakes and her children, Kimberly, Robert, Nancy and Betty. Ellas closest and dearest friend, Imodene “Mo” Poitinger and her family. And her frisky cat and companion, Bootsie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 800 South Detroit avenue, Toledo, Ohio. 43609.
