Elizabeth Ann Jeffries

Elizabeth Ann Jeffries, 55, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on”Friday, February 24, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Born February 22, 1962 in Madison, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late James Norman Jeffries, Sr. and Garnet Jeffries (Hughes). Elizabeth graduated from Waite High School in 1980 while raising a baby girl. She supported her family while working at McDonalds. She later went on to receive a Medical Assistant degree from Stautzenberger and an Associates Degree in Accounting from Owens Community College. She was employed at HCR ManorCare at the time of her passing. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Ivan Stoney Jeffries. She is survived by her siblings, Beckie J. Yglesias (Scott) and James N. Jeffries, Jr.; children, Carrie C. Jeffries and Joseph A. Jeffries; two grandsons, James T. White and Michael J. Jeffries; nephew, Christopher J. Jeffries; nieces, Trina Jeffries, Marlayna Kenney (James), Kristina Jeffries Hickman (Jeremiah); significant other, Anthony W. Pettaway, as well as host of cousins. A memorial gathering to share all of the loving memories she gave to our family and to those who met and knew her will be held on March 5, 2017 from 2pm-5pm at the VFW Post #2984, 102 W. Andrus Rd., Northwood, OH 43619. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family is asking that memorial contributions be made to The Eleanor Dana Cancer Center or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Her family paid this tribute to her, Beth was the kindest, gentlest soul that you could ever know. She took you for who you are and never passed judgment on anyone. She was always that shoulder to cry on or that ear to bend when things were good or bad. Her laugh was awesome and unforgettable. She was truly a wonderful spirit and will be greatly missed.
