Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Pitney) Haupricht, 79, (just shy of her 80th birthday) of Swanton passed away Friday, November 8th, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving famiy. She was born December 14, 1944, to Woodrow and Lucille Pitney in Toledo. Betty drove 18 wheelers for 40 years with her husband. She drove for Sheller Globe, LOF Glass, and Churchill from Detroit. Betty has traveled all over the United States, but her favorite state was Arizona. She was fascinated with the Native American culture and always picked up a turquoise souvenir to bring home. Anyone who knew her knew she loved Trump, America, Native Americans and YAHTZEE! Betty was a loving wife and mother who was kind, compassionate, a loyal friend and helpful to anyone who needed it.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; daughter, Machelle; step sons, Steven and Rick Haupricht; and her brothers, Marvin and John Pitney.
Betty is survived by her loving children, Veronica Ewing, Jay Ewing, Roxann (Paul) Wert, Geralyn (Steven) Haupricht, and Tracy (Ron) Murry; sisters, Deirdre "Dee" (Floyd) Rodgers, Elnore (Don) Ryan, Sharon (Albert) Moore; sister-in-law, Sue (John) Pitney; 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
