Elijah A. Eady

Elijah Amaur Eady, 18, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away (went home to Jesus) on May 27, 2025. He was born April 23, 2007.

Elijah was known for his loving nature and his commitment to helping those in need. He attended Bowsher High School where he made many friends and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Elijah brought joy and laughter to everyone he encountered. His love for video games and sports was well-known among his friends and family, as he was an enthusiastic supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sharon and Will Sawyer; his father and stepmother, Clarence Eady Sr. and Monique; siblings, Clarence Eady Jr., Damien Klempner, Megan Klempner, J'La Eady, and Tia'Aliyah Eady; stepbrother, Armon Richardson Jr.; grandparents, Mary and William Sauerwein, and Walter Eady Sr.; as well as his uncle, Walter Eady Jr., and aunts, Wilma Litton, Karen Sauerwein, and Gloria Walter. He also leaves behind several cousins. Elijah was preceded in death by his grandmother, Fedwalieen Walker.

At this time, no memorial services are scheduled. The family invites those who knew Elijah to reach out for details regarding a planned candlelight vigil and balloon release to honor his memory.

A balloon release and candlelight vigil in honor of Elijah will be held at Orlander Park, 6930 W Sylvania Avenue, Sylvania, OH 43560 at on June 7, 2025 at 5:00 pm. Feel free to bring candles and balloons (colors are black, blue, and white) as Elijah's passing was unexpected.
