Elaine R. Sloan

Elaine R. Sloan, age 79, Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 2, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. She was born on March 12, 1939 in Toledo to James and Therese (Grabelski) Sloan. Elaine enjoyed writing poetry and loved being surrounded by nature. She collected angels and butterflies, but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren. Elaine is survived by her sons, Mark (Debbie) Recker and Matt (Kathy) Recker; grandchildren, Justin Taulbee; Mark (Katie Payne) Recker,Jr.; Jason (Bambi) Recker; Joshua (Jenny Menacher) Recker; Melissa Recker and Kellie Recker; great grandchildren, Nick, Destiny, Jaden, Kayla, Dustin, Destiny and Dylan; brother-in-law, Carl Fitch; special friends, Linda; Sharon; Kelli, Bev and Shelley and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sandra Fitch and Carol Karcsak. A celebration potluck will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 26535 Pemberville Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2:00PM. The Church is now handicap accessible.
