Eileen Trawinski, 95, passed away at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, OH, on December 30, 2020. Born May 6, 1925 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Frank P. and Minnie (Gladieux) Baker. After attending Central Catholic High School and graduating from St. Mary’s Academy in Monroe, MI, Eileen was employed as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell until becoming a full time wife, mother, and homemaker. She married Frank W. Trawinski on July 20, 1946. Eileen and Frank enjoyed many years of boating and residing in the Point/Shoreland community of Toledo. Eileen is survived by her children, Janet Buckenmyer (Chuck, dec.), Joyce Grude (Dave), and Walter Trawinski; grandchildren, Brian Miles (Shannon), Andrea Miles, Amy Grude, and Lindsay Grude (Nick Sandstrom); great-grandsons, Reichen Whitner, and Sigge Sandstrom. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, in 2001; siblings, Thelma Baker, Virginia Dunn, Dolores Eberly, Bernard Baker, Bernice Langenderfer, and James Baker; and Frank’s sister, Rita Kolbeck. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 24 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Parish, 5411 Main St., Sylvania, OH. Visitors will be received at 10:00 am at the church. Special thanks to ProMedica Hospice; Senior Helpers; and Alexis Gardens, where Eileen lived for the past six years. Memorial donations may be made to ProMedica Hospice, ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence, or Cherry Street Mission.
