Edwige Aline Rose Siegfried, lovingly known as Aline, passed away on December 6, 2025, at home, surrounded by love, after complications from multiple illnesses. She was born on March 1, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, and spent most of her life in Northwest Ohio, ultimately settling in Monclova with her family.
Aline was no ordinary woman. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend whose strength was nothing short of extraordinary. Her love and compassion extended far beyond people—reaching animals, wildlife, strays, and even the smallest creatures she encountered. If something needed care, she gave it freely and without hesitation.
Throughout her life, Aline faced more obstacles than most, meeting each one with grit, determination, and her steadfast mantra: “I am going to beat this.” And in every way that mattered, she did. She lived longer, loved harder, and gave more of herself than anyone thought possible.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Christiane Myers. She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Stephen Siegfried; her brother, Eric Myers (Brenda Franklin Hunter); her daughters, Christina Archer (Steve Archer) and Ariel Sikula (Matthew McFadden); and her cherished grandchildren, Sean, Timmy, Jacob, and Evie, each of whom held a uniquely special place in her heart. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends whose lives she touched.
A private celebration of life will be held in the spring.
All who knew Aline knew her deep love and connection to animals. In lieu of flowers, those who feel called are invited to make a donation in her memory to Nature’s Nursery, honoring the compassion she showed to every living thing.
Aline loved fiercely, lived bravely, and left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. Her spirit—free, wild, and full of joy—lives on in the stories we tell, the love we carry forward, and the lives she shaped so profoundly.
