Obituary

Edward L. White, of Elmore, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on August 16, 2026, he had just turned 61.

Ed, known as Dinky to his siblings and everyone in his hometown of Morgantown, Indiana, was a one-of-a-kind person who never met a stranger. He was a friend to everyone he met. His kindness, humor, easygoing nature, and genuine care for others made him someone people were naturally drawn to and will never forget. He believed in being himself and wanted others to do the same.

Above all else, Ed adored his family, they were the center of his world. The love he had for them was evident in the way he cared for them, supported them, and treasured the time they shared together. His family was his greatest joy.

Ed accepted Christ as his Savior as a young man. He was one to witness to anyone and everyone whenever the opportunity arose. He wanted whoever he talked to, to know where they were going to spend eternity, that Jesus alone is the only way, and that everyone is welcome to come to Christ. He wasn't a perfect man, but he had a perfect faith.

Ed found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved spending time tinkering, working with his hands and taking on whatever project caught his interest, even if it was the weirdest thing you've ever seen. He enjoyed his Pepsi, cooking, watching SpongeBob, and fishing in the ocean. He also had a special appreciation for food, often dreaming of what he would have next. He especially loved bacon, peanut butter (JIF only!), and spaghetti. He enjoyed music of all kinds, his favorites being Elvis, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Bob Marley.

Ed had a sincere love for animals, especially cats. His affection for animals was a special part of who he was. He wanted to adopt a squirrel in the worst way.

Ed dedicated 27 years of hard work to Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope and 2 years at Magna Vehtek as a Journeyman. He held a deep respect for every person he worked with. He truly considered his coworkers as family and would do anything he could to help them.

Ed had a gift for making people feel like friends, and his absence will be felt by so many. Though he is no longer here to share a Pepsi, work on a project in his shop, enjoy his favorite foods, or sneak a piece of peanut butter bread to his dog, the memories of those little moments will remain forever.

Ed is survived by his best friend of 40 years, his wife, Kelly, whom he asked to marry him when they met on a blind date; his beloved kids, Stormy, Sierra, Sydney, Sage, and Kiki (his special cow cat), and unofficial kids, Emily and Nathan; siblings, Danny, Rhonda, Darrell, Chris, Johnny (Charity), and Shelia; and so many friends and loved ones.

Ed will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

In honor of his wishes, there will not be a funeral/memorial service. He always hated funerals and would much rather celebrate the good times.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
