Edward Sanders

Edward W. Sanders Jr. of Erie, MI passed away Monday January 10,2011 in The Cleveland Clinic. He was born June 17, 1942 in Bellevue, Ohio to Dr. Edward and Mary Kingman Sanders. Ed graduated from Bellevue High School in 1960. He then attended The University of Toledo School of Pharmacy and was a practicing pharmacist until 1981. At that time, he and his partner Herbert Walkin bought a lawnmower sales and service shop from which he retired in 2006.Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother Charles Sanders. Surviving are his wife Rosemary Welter Sanders and children Edward (Diane) Sanders III of Monroe, MI., Melanie (Andrew) Jeffrey of Monclova, OH. and Jason (Stacy) Sanders of Columbus, OH. He greatly enjoyed his grandchildren Alex Sanders, Madelyn Jeffrey, Hannah Jeffrey, Tyler Jeffrey and Katie Sanders. Also surviving are his siblings Gordon (Genie) Sanders of Warren, OH., Phyllis (Jim) Walters of Bellevue, OH., Janet (Dennis) Stephens of Burton, OH and many nieces and nephews. Ed enjoyed fishing and fixing anything that broke down and didnt work right. He never wanted anything to get the best of him. He helped many friends and relatives with their projects. In his thirst for understanding things , Ed always read the entire owners manual for anything he ever bought.There will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Summit Street in Toledo, OH at 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 18, 2011 with a luncheon to follow.
