Edward L. Huston, Jr

Edward Lyman Huston Jr., age 59, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at CHP Home Care and Hospice inpatient facility in Defiance, Ohio. Ed was born November 12, 1963 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Edward Lyman Huston Sr. and Charlene Diane Garber.

Ed was a 1982 graduate of Reading High School in Reading, Michigan. Ed got his CDL and was a truck driver for 35 years. Ed was also very skilled in auto mechanics, very oftentimes working on his own vehicles as well as those of his kids and loved ones. His passion, however, was playing guitar, and he was truly amazing at it, playing, particularly, by ear. Ed coincidentally passed on the same date as his all-time favorite guitar player, Eddie VanHalen.

Ed is survived by his mother, Charlene, sister Lisa, wife, Betty, daughter, Teresa (David) Fernandez, daughter, Jessica (James) Hagerman, son, Edward Huston III, daughter, Sarah Huston (Jake Wilson), son Jacob (Nikole) Huston, daughter, Cynthia Huston (Xavior Esparza), daughter Megan (Samantha) Champion, and 16 beautiful grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Floyd and Winnifred Huston and his wonderful father, whom he loved and admired so very much, Ed Huston Sr.

The family will be holding a private memorial service in Ed’s honor. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of the family to CHP Home Care and Hospice, whose caring and compassionate support will not be forgotten.
