Edward E. Brown, 89 of Toledo, Ohio was called home June 5, 2023. Born August 21, 1933, to loving parents Inez Johnson and William V. Brown, Edward was the third oldest of 5 children. Attending Sylvania Schools, Edward developed a love for fast cars.
Coming from a large household it was only natural for him to start a family of his own. Marrying the love of his life LaVerna M. Brown, Edward became the wonderful father of 8 children. Garnering the name Dad, which he would forever be called by everyone who knew and loved him.
With the belief that “A man brings home the bacon” Edward devoted himself to being a hardworking man to provide for his family. Working for George Grattle - Construction (10 yrs.), Barrett Paving (6 yrs.), and retiring from Bill Paxton Demolition (20 yrs.). Not being able to sit still, he began driving semi-trucks and snowplows to pass the time. Edward will be remembered for his love of life, family, friends, fast cars, and cold beer.
He is preceded in death by his wife LaVerna, daughters Tanya, Elizabeth, Regina (Tony), son Keith, brothers Ernest (Norma), Leon (Anne), Donald, sister Juanita, Mother Ines and Father William.
He leaves to cherish his children Marquita Brown, Glenn (Louise) Brown, Kevin (Kim) Brown, Tyrone (Philana) Brown, 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a host of amazing family and friends.
Edward was the oldest living Brown of our lineage, and he lived his life to the fullest. He will be missed dearly but the memories will forever live on in our minds and in our hearts. We love you.
