She was born on October 25, 1919, to Hallie (Potter) and Henry Weeks in Bellaire, OH. A notable cook most of her adult life, she worked as head cook at Miller’s Turnpike Restaurant and later at Shawn’s Back Door. She was “meatball maker extraordinaire” and the best mom! Edna was preceded in death by parents, husband, Frank; son, Roger Day; sisters: Karen Weeks and Peg Ullom; brothers: Melvin, Charles and Kenny Weeks; grandsons: Christopher Day, Stephen Day and Christopher Stroshine. She is survived a son, Luster Day, daughters: Carol (Judi) Fornia and Teri (Michael) Stroshine; sisters: Marion Weeks and Rose Marie; brothers: Curtis (Wanda) Weeks and Ralph Weeks; daughter-in-law Judy Day; grandchildren: Brian (Michelle) Day, David (Brandy) Day, Jo Michelle Day, Jennifer Day, Jason Day and many great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express very special thanks to Dr. Elizabeth Hoffman, the staff and doctors of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, especially Vicki and Cindy, and the staff of Senior Independence, especially Jackie, Phyllis, Mari and Rochelle, for their loving care. The family would also like to thank friends Barb, Valerie, and Lori for all the love and care they provided over the years. Services will be private.
