Duane E. Harrison, 63, of Toledo passed away on April 7, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 29, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. Duane was the loving husband of almost 34 years to Lanette L. Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. Harrison and Shirley A. (Mattson) Harrison. He is survived by his brothers, Michael Harrison, Keith Harrison and his sister, Jeri Glowacki. Duane is also survived by his loving children, Amy Mcintyre (David), Jennifer Marlin (Jason), Joshua Harrison, Christopher Harrison (Jessica), Sarah Grimes (Luke), and Benjamin Harrison. Duane loved greatly his wonderful grandchildren, Brianna, Daymien, Christian, Alexander, Annalei, Camden, and Whyatt. He was very proud of them for all that they are becoming and took a vested interest in their lives. Duane was also the uncle to several nieces and nephews. Duane went to Madison Heights High before graduating with his GED. He went on to Northwest Tech where he was eventually was hired as a machinist at the Alex Products of Ridgeville, Ohio. Later in life, he attended Owens Tech for a degree in Auto Mechanics. Duane was known as the daddy and man that could fix anything to his children and those that knew him. This is in part to his natural talent to know how to figure out how to fix things. He was a man that wore many hats in his lifetime. Duane was a foreman, machinist, carpenter, mechanic, counselor and a very loving husband, father and proud grandfather. He will truly be missed by those that loved him or have known him. Services will be held at the Dwelling Place located at 8201 Angola Road, Holland Ohio 43528 where Duane attended church with his wife, Lanette. Services will be on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm for those that are unable to attend the Celebration of His Life on what would have been his 64th Birthday on April 29, 2021. From 11:00 am until 11:30 am has been set aside for his family with the public service beginning at 11:30 am. The service will be followed by a late lunch at the church for family members and out of town guests. For those unable to make the service a link to a live feed online will be provided. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that any contributions to assist the family financially at this time please be forwarded to Duane’s wife, Lanette Harrison.
