Dorothy Elise Walker, 88, formerly of Geneva, Ohio, went to be with Jesus on January 30, 2013, while at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on January 12, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Dorothy Elise Mackey (Matthews-Prosser) and Van Matts of Warren, Ohio. Her adoptive parents were Rueben and Emma (Ressler) Jennings of Euclid, Ohio. She is preceded in death, by her husband, John Richard Walker (Geneva), and her son, Richard John Walker (England). She graduated from Willoughby Union High School in 1943. Dorothy has lived in Toledo for the last 14 years and was active at Calvary Church. She loved chocolate, birds, baking, knitting and the Cleveland Indians and Browns. She is survived by her loving children, Rand Walker of Virginia, Deborah Walker of Toledo, Dani (Walker) Haytcher of Texas and Darla (Walker) Bauer of Springfield Twp. She also had 10 grandchildren: Kate, Bethan, Scott of England, Keith and Kevin of Texas, Chad and Kyle of California, Rich of Perrysburg and Alicia and Sara of Springfield Twp. She also had ten great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant, Maumee, Ohio, on Friday, February 8, 2013, at 10am. A graveside service will be held in Geneva, Ohio later in the Spring. Those wishing to make contributions in Dorothys memory may do so to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo.
