Dorothy “Dot” Mae (Rober) Fuller, 85, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2021 with her loving husband of 66 years, Robert (Bob), by her side. She was born December 9, 1935 in Toledo to Joseph J. and Gertrude M. (Schultz) Rober. Dot graduated from Sylvania Burnham in 1953. She worked many years in retail at The Lion Store, Bargain City, LMG, and Associates & Estrel. She retired to become a stay at home grandma watching many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to spend time with Bob, family, and friends. Dot and Bob were members of the Rolling Dutchman Camping Club for many years. They eventually obtained a permanent camp site at Silver Lake in Indiana. Many memories with Bob, her children and grandchildren were made there. She enjoyed fishing and would say, “here fishy, fishy” to the fish to bite her hook. Dot and Bob spent many hours playing BINGO, square dancing, and bowling. Dot was very active in her children’s school. She was a room mother, in the PTO, Mother’s Club, a Campfire Girl Leader, and was even in charge of the school library. Dot loved to craft, knit, and crochet. She is infamous for her knitted dishcloths. She belonged to the Bunco club that she started for many years. Dot was a lifelong member at Olivet Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for 40+ years. Dot had a love of decorating for all the holidays and seasons. Her favorite was Christmas. She had a large Christmas Village collection that she would spend hours setting up in her dining room. Bob, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren would often participate in setting up the massive Christmas Village. Dot is missed dearly by her husband, Bob; children, Lynne (Bob) Brubaker, Pam Tatkowski, Jeff (Lisa) Fuller; grandchildren, Jamie (Dave) Evans, Kelly Brubaker, Jason (Erin) Tatkowski, Dani (Eric) Rice, Joshua (Rachelle) Below, Erin (Rob) Davenport, Tiffany Fuller, Derek Fuller, Jordan Fuller and Jake Fuller; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Kyle Evans, Jake and Scarlett Tatkowski, Alex Relyea, Ash and Ali Rice, Korbin, Jax, and Addie Below, Dawson and Bekah Davenport, Tristan Jackson, and Mia Fuller; brother, Joseph (Pat) Rober; sister-in-law, Dorothy White; and many nieces and nephews.
