Dorothea Ann (VanHoy) Scott of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away June 10th, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Dorothea was born in Toledo, Ohio November 21st 1949. She was the second eldest of 13 children. This made Dorothy a natural caregiver, mother and homemaker. She was known for being exceptionally organized and had a great adoration for children and animals. She kept an angel for each of her family members that passed and a special place in her heart. She was a big Ohio State Football fan and looked forward to taking in a game with her family. Dorothy will be dearly missed and is survived by her siblings Phyliss (Patrick) Lesniewski, Robert (Sunny) VanHoy, Juanita (Harry) Scott, Carl VanHoy, Ronald VanHoy, George (Donna) VanHoy, Terry (Richard) Kasack, Pamela Rice, and Paul Lewis. In addition, she is also survived by her husband Elmer H. Scott the 3rd, children Richard Shope, Ronnie (Michelle) Shope, Elmer H. Scott the 4th and Melissa Scott, 12 grand children and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in her death by her parents Robert VanHoy and Marjorie (VanHoy) Lewis, sisters Cheryl VanHoy and Evelyn Lewis, brother Gary VanHoy, brother-in-law Frank Rice, beloved nieces and nephews Nicole, Cassie, Joshua, RJ and Troy. Due to the pandemic, services will be private at this time. A Celebration of her life will be held at a future date. A big thanks from Dorothea’s family to the staff and doctors at St. Luke’s ICC and 2 East units.
