Doris J. Berta

Doris J. Berta passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Spring Meadows Senior Community Center in Holland, Ohio. She was born Doris Dennick on October 29, 1946 to Marie and John Dennick in Lorain, Ohio. Doris attended the University of Toledo and then began working at Owens Illinois. While working at Owens Illinois, she met her husband Larry. After her retirement, she got back into the workforce preparing taxes. Doris and Larry were members at Heatherdowns Country Club for over 20 years where they made many friends. Their love of golf brought them on many golf trips with friends over the years. Larry passed away on August 26, 2021. They were married for 47 years. Surviving is her brother, David Dennick; niece, Diane (Michael) Yalch, Paul Dennick, JeanMarie (Joseph) Marschall, Christine (Melvin) Lawrence; sisters-in-law, Linda (David) Mayfield and Sally Seroka; step-son, David (Shannon) Berta; and cherished granddaughters, Olivia and Peyton. A Celebration of Life for both Doris and Larry will be planned in the Spring of 2022. Contributions in memory of Doris may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
