Donna June (Martz) Medsker, Age 83 June Medsker 83, a former resident of Eaton, Indiana, departed this life on June 11, 2014. She was born on June 28, 1930 in Delaware County to Ralph and Louise (Horn) Martz. “She graduated from Eaton High School class of 1947 and married Ralph Medsker on December 26, 1947 in Eaton. June was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, inventor, artist, entrepreneur and small business owner. “She is survived by her sister, Clara Dean (Martz) Erickson, her brother Ralph Leroy Martz, her five children, Leora Jane Elli (husband John), Thomas Medsker (wife Paula), Frederick Medsker (wife Linda), Jean Puskar (husband Mike) and Judith Miller (husband Barry); 13 grandchildren, Aaron Prather (wife Theresa), Miriam Clark (husband Wes), Sean Medsker (wife Anne), Elizabeth Medsker, Katherine Medsker, Nannette Thomas (fiancée Slim), Melissa Slay (husband Thomas), Michael Puskar (wife Tina), Daniel Puskar, Jeffrey Puskar (wife Erin), Steven Puskar, Christopher Miller (wife Taylor) and Eric Miller (wife Valerie); 9 great-grandchildren, Sydney & Will Prather, Sophia Drenning, Novalee Medsker, Darius Clark, Jeremiah James, ZRyah Slay, Ryan & Jacob Puskar, a set of twins is expected July/August. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ralph and Louise Martz, her husband Ralph Medsker and her great grandson, Nathaniel Medsker. June worked on the family farm and also for the US Postal Service in Eaton, then later in Muncie. “She was imaginative, creative, determined and a builder. “She made furniture, playground equipment, tree houses and superhero costumes for her grandsons. June was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and was President of the Eaton Chapter during the 1960s. “She was also an officer in the Eaton Lodge of Eastern Star and Muncie Social Order of Beaucient. She loved traveling. “In the early 1980s, during the Knoxville Worlds Fair, she ran a travel business for seniors and handicapped people taking them to see the fair. “She owned motor homes and enjoyed traveling to visit her family and see the United States. “She also delivered motor homes to buyers in western states from a manufacturer in Elkhart, IN. June requested that there be no funeral service. “Her ashes will be buried at Union Cemetery, Eaton, Indiana next to her husbands grave. “Anyone wishing to contribute to a memorial fund may send donations in remembrance of Donna June Medsker to Swan Pointe Care Center, 3600 Butz Road, Maumee, OH “43537.
