Donald K. Shake, Jr.

Donald Kenneth Shake Jr., 62 years old, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2020. He was born on December 9, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to Donald and Catherine (Gable) Shake. Donald grew up in Lambertville, Michigan and lived there as well as the Toledo area for his entire life. He spent many years being an interstate and local truck driver and later, working for local landscaping companies. One of Donald’s favorite things to do though was to host large barbeques where he would entertain family and friends with great food, classic rock music, and stories of his long-haul trucking days. Don was always willing to raise money by taking part in charity poker runs where he was able to show off his Harley-Davidson Soft-Tail custom motorcycle. Donald was also an avid bowler and participated in adult amateur leagues. Preceding Donald in death was his father, Donald Sr., and his sister Cindy. He is survived by his mother Catherine, brother Dan, sister Cathy Steele, and his children Kristine (Toby) Bean, Jessica (Rick) Carmona, Joshua (Rebecca) Shake, Nichole Shake, Laura Shake, and Jennifer Chitwood. Donald also has 7 grandchildren, Chase, Bryce, TK, Victoria, Ricky, Joshua Jr., and Alexander. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Stroke Life Center at strokelifecenter.org. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
