Donald E. Sargeont

Donald Eugene Sargeont, age 74, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on May 23, 1950, in Morgantown, West Virgina, to the late Thomas F. Sargeont and Betty (McGee) Sargeont. Donald was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Thomas W. Sargeont, Ricky Lee Sargeont, and Scott Sargeont Sergeant.

Donald is survived by son, Christopher (Tiffany) Nitz; granddaughter, Olivia Nitz; and brother, Michael Sargeount.

Donald served in Vietnam as a USATC Field Wireman and a US ARSCHEUR Radio TT Operator, from March of 1969 through November of 1971, where he was honorably discharged. From there, he worked for the Railroad many years before retiring.

Don liked old movies in black-and-white, war shows, and silent movies. He had a way about him that only certain people could love, and a big heart. He was a member of the VFW Post 3338 and American Legion Post 642.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 13, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at VFW Post 3338, 2231 South Avenue, Toledo, Ohio.
